Lewis King is Senior Design Manager at Ambrey Baker Industrial Solutions, where he leads design coordination across technically detailed construction projects in the industrial, food, logistics, commercial, and temperature-controlled sectors.
With a strong background in architectural technology and design management, Lewis brings senior-level experience in turning complex design requirements into clear, coordinated, and buildable project information. His experience covers contractor-side delivery, architectural practice, BIM coordination, technical design, and the management of design teams across multiple live schemes.
Lewis plays a key role in guiding the design process from early-stage development through to delivery. He works closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to maintain design quality, manage technical coordination, resolve design challenges, and ensure information is aligned with programme, compliance, and buildability requirements.
His project experience includes Sky Studios Elstree, energy from waste facilities, industrial warehouses for Panattoni ranging from 200,000 sq ft to 500,000 sq ft, and major warehouse schemes at Avonmouth, including a main warehouse of around 400,000 sq ft. He has also worked on cold store facilities in Sittingbourne, a new manufacturing facility for GSK, Boots Covent Garden Store of the Future, a new tennis centre, and feasibility work for a new manufacturing facility for Berkeley Homes.
This experience gives Lewis a broad understanding of how complex buildings need to be planned, coordinated, and delivered in practice. He has worked across temperature-controlled warehouses, industrial and manufacturing facilities, retail schemes, rail projects, pharmaceutical buildings, and residential developments, bringing a practical and commercially aware approach to design management.
Lewis is experienced in using Autodesk CAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bentley MicroStation, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Photoshop. His technical knowledge, attention to detail, and structured approach to design coordination strengthen Ambrey Baker’s ability to deliver clear, practical, and well-managed solutions for clients across the UK.
