Ambrey Baker ISO Audit Success: A Closer Look at Our Standards in Action
At Ambrey Baker, we take pride in maintaining the highest standards across everything we do, from the way we deliver complex industrial projects to how we manage safety, sustainability, and quality across our operations. That is why we are pleased to share that we have successfully passed our first ISO recertification audit since gaining initial certification in September 2022.
The external audit covered all three of our accreditations:
ISO 9001 – Quality Management
ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety
The audit process is designed to assess whether organisations are continuing to uphold the rigorous requirements of each standard and whether those principles are being embedded in the day-to-day running of the business. It is not just a tick-box exercise, and the feedback we received reflects that.
Top 10 Percent Performance Across Hundreds of Sites
During the site visit, the external auditor praised not only our facilities but also the openness, professionalism, and depth of knowledge shown by our team.
Richard Carpenter, our Finance Director, noted:
“During the site visit for our ISO recertification for Quality (9001), H&S (45001) and Environmental (14001) we were complemented, not only about our site itself but especially about our staff’s openness, depth of knowledge, and general professionalism throughout.
Additionally, we were told that amongst hundreds, if not thousands of sites that are audited and many that are operated by companies with far greater resources than ours, we were ranked firmly within the top 10 percent sampled. Our commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and collaborative approach are making a real difference, not only in helping us maintain our ISO accreditations but also in reinforcing our reputation for quality and reliability.”
What the Recertification Means for Our Clients
For our clients, this successful recertification reinforces that working with Ambrey Baker means working with a trusted partner who is fully committed to quality, environmental responsibility, and safe working practices.
Whether we are delivering temperature-controlled distribution hubs, food-grade facilities, or complex industrial refurbishments, these certifications underpin every part of our project lifecycle, from planning and procurement to build and handover.
Maintaining a Culture of Continuous Improvement
Certification is not a one-off achievement. It reflects our continuous efforts to improve how we operate, how we protect the environment, and how we ensure the health and safety of our people and partners.
It also demonstrates our ability to integrate these three crucial standards into one seamless system, without silos. This is essential for clients who demand clarity, accountability, and joined-up thinking from their construction partner.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, this recertification is both a marker of where we are and a motivator for where we are going. We will continue to challenge ourselves to meet and exceed the standards our clients expect and deserve.
We would like to thank everyone across the business who played a part in preparing for and contributing to the audit. Your hard work and professionalism have not gone unnoticed, and this result is something we can all be proud of.
