Reg Baker – founder and executive director
Reg served in Her Majesty’s Forces between the ages of 16 and 23. Following his service, he resolved to build his own construction business, specialising in cold stores.
With determination and drive from his time in the military, Reg soldiered through and worked hard to accomplish his goals. Now, 33 years later, he has an impressive portfolio of successful businesses to his name.
These businesses thrive on the consistency of the service they offer. Clients return repeatedly and connections are formed with new customers who are drawn in by the quality of our services.
Across his extensive career, Reg has created a network of highly capable individuals who share his ethos, focus, and degree of professionalism. These invaluable connections, along with Reg’s enthusiasm and resourcefulness, are some of the many assets that set Ambrey Baker Industrial Solutions apart from the rest.
Paul Waldeck – executive director
Paul’s extensive and impressive career began 35 years ago in the FMCG sector. After becoming a chartered engineer, Paul founded his own company.
He nurtured his business from the ground up, acquiring two more firms along the way. When the company was sold in 2018, it had become a world-class technology-levered engineering, design, and project management consultancy.
Paul’s engineering background gives him a keen eye for problem-solving. This is a skill he has used alongside his business knowledge to work with senior directors and owners of companies both large and small.
Ambrey Baker has gone from strength to strength in recent years and – with Paul’s broad experience in delivering every phase of client solutions – we plan to leverage this into the next transformational phase in our company’s journey.

Philip Kennedy – non-executive director
Phil has more than 35 years of experience in construction management and is Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building. He has spent these years leading the delivery of construction projects and industrial and commercial development across the UK.
Throughout his career, Phil has established a strong reputation working with contractors – building and motivating effective teams and developing robust procedures for the successful delivery of all projects.
Working with the team at Ambrey Baker, Phil’s experience in leading construction operations, along with keen attention to detail, create a culture of excellence and ensures all projects are delivered to a consistently high standard that exceeds our clients’ expectations.
Nigel Devine – non-executive director
Nigel has more than 30 years of operations and supply chain leadership experience in the food, drink and FMCG sectors. His formative career was spent in transformational supply chain roles for Northern Foods, Geest, Premier Foods and Unilever.
For the last 10 years, he has provided independent consultancy and advisory services to operators, vendors, and investors across various sectors within the food and drinks industry.
Nigel is focused on providing sustainable solutions to the evolving customer and consumer requirements of the sector through developing strong relationships and providing deep insights.
