Paul Waldeck BEng(Hons),C.Eng MICE MIStructE MIMechE MASHRAE

Executive Director

Paul’s extensive and impressive career began 35 years ago in Process Engineering and FMCG. After becoming a Chartered Engineer, having escalated in various Contracting and Consultancy businesses delivering complex capital projects, Paul founded his first company back in 1995.

He nurtured his business from the ground up, acquired two more firms along the way, and eventually sold it on in 2018, by which point his company had become a world-class technology-levered engineering, design, and project management consultancy servicing blue chip clients as a trusted advisor helping them from inception through to completion with their capital projects in hygiene and safety-critical environments. Paul has worked on a number of £multi-billion programmes in his career and so is an unusual blend of someone who actually knows intimately about project risks and governance but also the bigger picture of running a business and all the other risk, compliance and performance issue that come with that.

Paul loves Engineering! He thrives on problem mitigation/solving – a skill which he has used alongside his business knowledge to work with senior directors and owners of companies both large and small to develop the feasibility and business case for their capital project investments, and then the planning applications, integrated facility operational & building design, risk profiling & management, procurement methodology, contracts, client representative, and managing the commissioning through to “handing over the keys”.

Ambrey Baker has gone through quite a transformation in recent years and, with Paul’s experience of delivering every phase of a Client’s capital project, from cradle to grave, we are successfully leveraging this as a “Turnkey” provider of Interdisciplinary Capital Projects in our chosen markets. The appetite for excellence continues as we continue on our current trajectory of delivering outstanding outcomes for our Clients and becoming a key member of their Value Chain.
