Our team delivers steel plant decks, access platforms and maintenance walkways that allow engineers and operators to reach refrigeration plant, mechanical systems, pipework, air handling equipment and electrical infrastructure.
Each structure is designed with consideration for load capacity, access requirements and long-term durability within demanding industrial environments.
Structural elements are designed in line with relevant standards for steel structures, including applicable parts of BS EN 1993 Eurocode 3 where required. Access arrangements are developed to suit the specific maintenance and operational requirements of the facility, with relevant parts of BS 5395 considered where applicable.
Safety is central to the design process. Guardrails, anti-slip flooring and safe access points can be incorporated to support safe use and maintenance access, with projects delivered in line with relevant UK legislation including the Work at Height Regulations 2005 where required.
Plant decks and walkways are widely used in cold storage facilities, food manufacturing plants, pharmaceutical environments and large distribution centres where plant equipment is often positioned above operational areas. Careful design helps ensure safe maintenance access while protecting operational spaces below.
