Every secondary steel installation is designed to suit the operational and structural demands of the facility. Our work is delivered in accordance with relevant UK structural and safety standards, including BS EN 1090 for the execution of structural steelwork and BS EN 1993 (Eurocode 3) for steel design. Where safe access is required, designs also consider the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and applicable HSE guidance.
Secondary steel framing often supports plant decks, pipe bridges, conveyors, refrigeration equipment, and access routes throughout a facility. Loadings, interfaces, fixing details, and maintenance access are all considered during design to ensure the steelwork performs safely within the wider building and process environment.
