Hannah Tapsell Chapman is a Director of Ambrey Baker and an Investment Manager at Mercia, which became a significant shareholder in Ambrey Baker in June 2026. Hannah brings experience across investment, commercialisation and capital markets, supporting the business as it enters its next stage of development.

Hannah joined Mercia in September 2022 and is based in Nottingham, where she focuses on early-stage investments across the Midlands. Her role encompasses the origination, evaluation and execution of new investments, together with ongoing support for portfolio companies as they develop and grow.

Prior to joining Mercia, Hannah worked within the venture building team at the Ministry of Defence, advising founders on the commercialisation of new innovations and the process of raising external investment. She began her career at the London Stock Exchange Group, holding a number of roles across Capital Markets and developing experience of businesses, investment and the wider financial environment.

As an Ambrey Baker Director, Hannah combines her investment experience with a practical understanding of business development, governance and long-term value creation. She works alongside the Ambrey Baker leadership team as the company continues to develop its capabilities, customer relationships and position within the cold chain and hygiene-critical construction sectors.

Hannah holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
